News - Junior Entrepreneur Programme

Published: 31 Jan 2018 - Last Updated: 1 Feb 2018

Congratulations to Ms Begley's 5th class on the incredible work they have completed to date on their Junior Entrepreneur Programme (JEP). After months of research, discussion and manufacturing the class had their Dragon's Den moment on Friday 26th January when they presented their ideas to the Dragons - Jill Bradbury, Ms Dempsey and Mr O' Gorman. The level of professionalism was a joy to witness as the students described their products, presented budgets and answered any questioned that the Dragons had. After much deliberation the successful product was the 'Bottle Belts' designed to assist with bottle identification. The gifted students behind the concept were Faith Quinn, Chiara Berry Foley, Jamie Corcoran, Ninu Fashina and Pranshu Patel. The class were also very fortunate to receive a visit from local business person and entrepreneur Laura Grufferty who gave great advice on how to start a business. Please check our photo gallery where you can see all the ideas which include The Corner Marker, Go Games and Table Footie . We look forward to the 'Bottle Belts' going to market over the next number of weeks.  See photos.....
