Parents Information : Traffic Management Plan

Dear Parents/Guardians
In an effort to enhance and ensure your son’s/daughter’s safety when entering and exiting school, the management of Scoil Phádraig Naofa propose to make some changes to current practices with regard to parking, dropping off and collection of children. The changes will be piloted for one week starting Monday 31st March.
The changes are as follows –
The roundabout will be closed to traffic every morning from 8:40am to 9:20am and every evening from 1:15pm to 3:00pm.
Cars entering our campus will now travel through our car parks by turning right into the upper car park (car park nearest the school) follow the route around and exit from the lower car park.
Children will no longer gather in front of the main school gates every morning. This area will now be used as a bus set down. No cars are permitted to park in this space at any time.
Children waiting for our school to open at 8:55am will now do so by gathering on and around the designated areas surrounding the school roundabout.
Drivers must use the designated parking spaces provided on the campus.
Drivers must respect the road signage and the marked no parking areas.
Children will now exit the school through both front gates with pedestrians using the smaller gates and cyclists using the main gate.
Drivers must enter, exit and drive through our campus in a safe manner which ensures the safety of all patrons using the campus, especially the boys and girls entering and leaving our school.

Scoil Phádraig Naofa is very appreciative of all your support in this effort which endeavours to improve your son’s/daughter’s health/safety when coming to and going home from school.
An information meeting to explain the changes and the reasons behind the proposed changes will take place on Thursday 27th March at 2pm in Scoil Phádraig Naofa.
Thanking you for your ongoing co-operation and support.
