School Activities
Lego Club forms an integral part of Scoil Phádraig Naofa’s policy to develop our children’s mathematical, scientific and engineering skills. The 25 members of our club meet once a week after school to explore the wonderful world of designing, making and construction.
The club is organised and coordinated by Mr O’ Gorman who designs the challenges and gives a little bit of help and guidance when necessary.
Members recently completed a challenge which involved designing and constructing a two speed windmill and next week will be starting on our next project – A Drawbridge.
Lego Club provides the students in our school with a unique opportunity to explore the world of engineering and apply the skills they have learned in maths/science to solving real life problems.
